Couples Therapy

New couples are often reluctant to seek help. Be it stigma surrounding couple's therapy or feeling like they are "not old enough," couples often wait until resentment and unhappiness have grown to distressing levels before reaching out. According to relationship expert Dr. John Gottman, couples often endure an average of six years of unhappiness before seeking help. Why let years of resentment build up when you can spend that time strengthening your bond and finding new ways to overcome and adapt to life's inevitable conflicts?

My aim is to help couples who are considering marriage or are newly married in forging life-long bonds that can withstand the test of time. I practice Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, an evidence-based practice that works by helping couples develop the ability to cut through the conflict and attune to their partner’s emotional needs.
